About BPP Pro Bono Centre

BPP Pro Bono Centre is part of BPP University Law School.

Established in 2004, we are committed to improving access to justice and to legal knowledge through a range of award-winning projects.

Our work

We provide a wide range of free legal advice and support services to the public. All of our services are delivered by volunteer BPP University Law School students, under the guidance of qualified lawyers.

The Centre runs projects at seven BPP University Law School study centres, with a dedicated Pro Bono Manager at each location to work closely alongside students and local communities.

Principles

Recognising the inequality and injustice in our society’s unmet legal needs

Improving access to justice by offering pro bono legal services

Helping local, national and international communities

Raising the profile of pro bono work by the legal community

Awards

Many of our projects have been recognized by leading industry awards, including at the LawWorks & Attorney General’s Student Awards, Halsbury Legal Awards and The Lawyer Awards.

BPP Legal Advice Clinics (BLAC) in London, Leeds and Manchester also hold the Advice Quality Standard, the mark of quality awarded to independent advice organisations.
